Slate Set For Tewksbury Town Election

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Tewksbury Selectmen Anne Marie Stronach and Todd Johnson will be facing a challenger when they run for reelection in the town election on April 6. Town Moderator Jayne Wellman Miller submitted nomination papers, setting up a three-way race for the two open seats.

Tewksbury School Committee members Krissy Poli­me­no and Arthy Bennett are not seeking reelection. There is a three-way race for the two open seats, with Erin Knyff, Sharon Demos, and John Stadtman on the ballot after submitting nomination papers.

There is a four-way race for the two open seats on the board of health. Incumbents Anthony Boschetti and George Fer­dinand will be joined on the ballot by Kylee Perrot­ta and Maria Zaroulis.

A ballot question will ask Tewksbury voters to approve a debt exclusion to build a new elementary school. There are also three non-binding referendums on the production, cultivation and testing of recreational marijuana in Tewksbury. The town has already passed rules banning the sale of recreational marijuana.
