Lowell Police announced this has been arrested in Cambridge. According to a press release issued by the LPD, Andrew Burke, 21, was taken into custody without incident, in the Harvard Square area at around 3 p.m. Burke is scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court Thursday morning on charges of Attempted Murder by Strangulation, Assault with Intent to Rape, Kidnapping, and Indecent Assault and Battery on a Person Over 14 years of age. The charges stem from an incident that tool place Friday morning, around 10:30 a.m.,behind the left field wall at LeLacheur Field. During the course of the course of the five-day search for Burke, confirmed that Burke has ties to this community, though they declined to elaborate on those connections.
