Tewksbury-based Raytheon Awarded $92 Million U.S. Navy Radar Deal

The contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the deal to over $723 million.

TEWKSBURY, MA — The Tewksbury-based Raytheon Company has been awarded a $92 million contract for the engineering and manufacturing development of the Enterprise Air Surveillance Radar (EASR).

The company announced Friday that it has been awarded a cost-plus-incentive-fee contract allowing it to build, integrate and test an EASR engineering development model, and that the contract includes options that could bring the cumulative value of the deal to over $723 million.

The EASR consists of two configuration variants including a rotating phased array and a three-face fixed phases array.

A majority of the work will be performed in Sudbury (63.6 percent) and Andover (7.2 percent), with the remaining work taking place in other locations across the country.
