Brandishing a silver revolver, Girouard allegedly robbed a Mobil gas station at 2 Main St. in Tewksbury at approximately 4:40 a.m. Monday. The description of the suspect was similar to the one given for a man who robbed the Petrolex gas station at 3:23 a.m. Sunday and a Variety Plus convenience store at 240 Nashua Road at 7 p.m. Sunday in Billerica, prompting police in the town to conduct a joint investigation.

The suspect was described as a white man, possibly in his mid-fifties, with a salt-and-pepper mustache. He was believed to have tattoos on his neck and face. In all three robberies, the suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
