Tewksbury Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Celebration 2016: Details, Events and More

The event begins Friday evening. Here is what you need to know.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Residents across town will be buying and setting up their christmas trees over the next couple of weeks. The Town of Tewksbury will be doing the same, and as is tradition, the whole town is invited.

The annual lighting of the Town Common will be held on Friday, Dec. 2. The event also features the TMHS band performing holiday songs, the toasting of marshmallows by the fire barrels and more.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at Town Common.

The Tewksbury Congregational Church will also be offering its parlor for the little ones to meet Santa. Families will ahve to bring their own cell phone or camera to take photos, as no photographer will be available. Santa, Mrs. Claus, Elf Patty and Lou the Balloonist will be available for photos until 9 p.m.
