Tewksbury Companies Hit With Coronavirus Safety Complaints
The AG's office has received over 1,000 complaints, including three about Tewksbury businesses, since it began collecting them in May.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Three Tewksbury businesses have been the target of complaints filed with the Massachusetts Attorney General's office for failing to protect workers and customers from the coronavirus.
The office began accepting complaints from an online portal on May 20. Statewide, more than 1,300 complaints have been filed in the nine weeks since the online complaint form was launched.
In Tewksbury, three companies have each been the target of one complaint. Tewksbury Sports Club, Yankee Custom and Market Basket all received complaints regarding use of personal protective equipment. The complaint against Yankee Custom also criticized the company for issues including requiring symptomatic employees to work and retaliation, among other issues.
