Tewksbury Police Search For Robbery Suspect

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Police were looking for a heavyset, white man wearing a Red Sox jacket and a black hat following a convenience store robbery Tuesday night. The unarmed robbery at Sam's Variety at 2316 Main Street was reported just after 10 pm Tuesday night.

Police say the man demanded the money in the cash register before exiting towards Main Street. Police searched the area with a canine unit

It was not known if the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle, but he was seen taking a left onto Main Street, prompting a call to Wilmington Police.
