Tewksbury Fire Dept Puts Out Pike Street Garage Fire
Firefighters extinguished the fire in under an hour, Friday night, Chief Michael Hazel said.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury firefighters quickly extinguished a fire Friday in a garage on Pike Street, Chief Michael Hazel said. Damage was contained and no one was injured.
Firefighters responded to a call to a Pike Street home at 5:35 p.m. and found smoke coming from the garage. A second alarm was struck, bringing in more firepower.
Mutual aid companies from Wilmington, Billerica and Andover covered Tewksbury's stations while the department was occupied fighting the garage fire.

The last crew left around 6:30 p.m., less than an hour after the call, the chief said.
Two residents of the single-family home were home at the time of the fire.
