Tewksbury Fireworks 2016: Schedule, Events and More

Here's everything you need to know about the celebrations and fireworks on July 3

TEWKSBURY, MA—Tewksbury's Fourth of July celebrations take place at the Livingston Street Recreation Center on July Third, and feature a day-long schedule of events. The event features a continental breakfast, lunch and entertainment. The morning's events feature a variety of games and contests for children, and the evening features entertainment and fireworks.

SCHEDULE

8:30 to 10:00 am Continental Breakfast

9:00 to 10:00 am Track & Field Games (all ages)

10:00 to 11:00 am Decorated Doll Carriage Contest (ages 3-6)

Bicycle Decoration Contest (ages 4-8)

Lil Mr & Miss Tewksbury Contest (ages 2-4)

Basketball free trow contest (all ages)

Bologna Toss

11:00 to 12:00 am Pie & Watermelon Eating Contest

12;00 to 1:00 pm Hotdogs, Soda & Ice Cream donated by the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks, The Knights of Columbus & the Patriotic Committee.

7:00 to 9:00 pm Entertainment (DJ & Bands)

9:30 p.m. Fireworks go off weather permitting.

TRAFFIC INFO

Traffic from Main Street and East Street entering Livingston Street will be shut down around 9 p.m., or once the parking lots are full. After the display has ended, all traffic from the upper lot at Hazel Field will be directed to Main Street toward Wilmington.

Traffic from the lower lots will be directed to East Street. Due to anticipated heavy traffic on Main Street from residents parking in the Brooks Plaza, Mahoney's Garden Center and Wynn Middle School areas, all traffic exiting those locations will be sent north on Main Street toward Chandler Street
