Tewksbury Flash Win North Andover Columbus Day Tournament

The Tewksbury Girls 12-1 team participated in the 32nd Annual Columbus Day tournament in North Andover this past weekend, and came away with an impressive tournament win! They played Saturday late in the day winning both matches; they defeated Haverhill Meteors 1-0 and North Andover Uknighted 9-0. Again on Sunday they played an afternoon game and were victorious over Wilmington (12-1) 5-1, putting them in the semi-finals. On Monday morning they squared off against North Andover Samba and defeated them 4-1 putting the girls in the finals. In the finals they played a hard fought game against tough league opponent Wilmington coming away victorious 2-0 winning it all! The girls had a great tournament scoring 21 goals and giving up only 2. Team play proved to be the key to their success.
