Tewksbury Girls Basketball League Travel Team Tryouts Tonight and April 12

Tryouts for the 2011/2012 Tewksbury Girls Basketball travel teams will be held on Friday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 12 at the gym.  Girls MUST attend at least one of the tryouts to be eligible to play. Times are as follows (grade level is based on September, 2011):

• 5th grade:  5:30-6:30
• 6th grade:  6:30-7:30
• 7th grade:  7:30-8:30
• 8th grade:  8:30-9:30

  Registration for the 2011/2012 clinic and recreational leagues is now open. You can register in person at the Ryan School gym on April 8 and April 12 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The registration form can be downloaded from the above "FORMS" page. Registration will also be accepted by mail to P.O. box 232 until September 10.

The TGBL annual general meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 25 at 7:30 pm at the Tewksbury Senior Center. All coaches, assistant coaches and parents of girls registered for the 2010/11 season are invited. The following Board of Director positions are up for election--Treasurer, Secretary/Publicist, Fundraising/Activities Director, Travel Director, League Representatives (Jr., Intermediate, and Sr.), League Administrator, and Clinic coordinator.

Anyone wishing to run for any of these positions should submit their name to contact@tgbl.org by May 11, 2011. TGBL will once again be offering scholarships to graduating seniors who have been active members of TGBL in the past. Scholarship applications are available on the "Forms" page and should be postmarked no later than April 15th.
