Tewksbury Goat Escapes from Slaughterhouse, Continues to Elude Capture
Goat went missing from Tewksbury farm, was spotted in Lowell Friday night and went on a romp around the city.

A goat, missing from a Tewksbury farm, had a Lowell man, police and animal control officers trying to track it down well into the night on Friday. The goat, said to weigh nearly 200 pounds, escaped earlier Friday from a farm and slaughterhouse in Tewksbury.
Frank Peabody told the Lowell Sun he spent nearly three hours Friday night pursuing the goat, which is still on the run. He notified police, while working with another driver to try and keep the animal out of the road. Animal control officers and Lowell police were also searching for the goat. Peabody and another man managed to corner the goat in a fenced off area of Iowa Street in Lowell, before the goat bolted and was later seen throughout the area that night making some great progress moving across neighborhoods. He was cornered again yet, one more time was able to escape.
The goat has become the talk of the area, he even has his own Twitter account @TheLowellGoat describing his escapades to his more than 140 followers.
