Tewksbury To Host Public Forum On Future Open Space, Recreation Plan

The town will gather community input on the long-term open space and recreation plan at a public forum held at the recreation center.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Town officials are inviting residents to help shape the future of local parks and natural areas during a public forum on Tuesday, March 24.

The session will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Tewksbury Recreation Center, located at 286 Livingston St.

Town staff and representatives from the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments will present draft goals for the 2026-2036 Open Space and Recreation Plan. The forum aims to gather community feedback on proposed initiatives before they are finalized.

The 10-year plan builds upon the town’s 2019 framework. It serves as a guide for future land acquisitions, recreational programming, and the expenditure of Community Preservation Act funds.

During the meeting, the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments planning team will explain how previous public input helped shape the current draft. Attendees will have the opportunity to identify missing priorities and help create a vision for equitable recreation across the community.
