Tewksbury Library To Host Outdoor Concerts On Mondays In July

TEWKSBURY, MA – Kids can’t have all the fun at the library this summer! The Tewksbury Public is offering 40 FREE programs for adults this July, including outdoor concerts every Monday night at 6:30pm. These concerts will pay tribute to some of the greatest musical acts in history, including:

Elvis Presley: On Monday, July 1 at 6:30pm, enjoy a concert from the one of the country’s top Elvis Tribute Artists, Ray Guillemete, Jr. For more than 20 years, Ray has amazed and inspired people with his award-winning “A Ray Of Elvis” show. He is a 10-time international Elvis Tribute Artist winner and has performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Japan. Ray will wow you with his striking look and outstanding vocals. His ultimate tribute to the King of Rock ‘N’ Roll features all of Elvis Presley’s greatest hits, including "Heartbreak Hotel," "Love Me Tender," "Jailhouse Rock," "All Shook Up," and many more.

Rod Stewart: On Monday, July 8 at 6:30pm, enjoy a concert from one of the country’s top Rod Stewart tribute performers, Rick Larrimore. Larrimore captures Stewart’s four decades of best-selling hits with the same humor, high energy, and sexy savoir faire that’s made him a Rock ‘n’ Roll icon. From "Maggie May” to the latest "American Songbook" classics, audience members will believe the “Rodfather" is in the house.

The Who: On Monday, July 15 at 6:30pm, enjoy a concert from New England's #1 The WHO tribute band, The American WHO. The American WHO is an incredible recreation of one of the greatest British rock bands from the 1960s to the present. The band’s current concert tour, “Long Live Rock,” is an exciting and authentic show that brings the sound of this legendary band to life. Powerful, unpredictable, charismatic and packed with the unstoppable energy and spirit of Daltrey, Townsend, Moon and Entwistle, American WHO presents a virtual “who’s who” of both classic songs and deep cuts that bring back the memories of Leeds, Woodstock, Isle of Wight and other historic shows.

Johnny Cash: On Monday, July 22 at 6:30pm, enjoy a concert from the premiere Johnny Cash tribute band, Counterfeit Cash. Influenced by Johnny Cash in his younger years while listening to the great lyrics of the "Man in Black" and the story that they told, lead singer Rodney Brunelle – with his Johnny Cash voice – made it his mission in life to keep the stories of Johnny Cash going. The band performs the songs that "The Man In Black" made famous, including “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Ring of Fire,” “Hurt,” “Big River,” and many more. If you close your eyes, you’ll swear you’re listening to Johnny Cash. And another country legend is expected to make a “surprise appearance” during the concert.

The Beatles: On Monday, July 29 at 6:30pm, enjoy a concert from the popular Beatles tribute band, 4EverFab. 4EverFab brings to life timeless Beatles music through brilliant lead vocals, precise three-part harmonies and true-to-the-record musicianship. 4EverFab will play this show “By Request” so that the audience will hear the songs that they want to hear. In addition, 4EverFab engages the audience with stories behind the songs, placing them in musical, cultural and historical context. This show is family-friendly and attracts fans from every generation. All the well-known hits will be featured including “She Loves You,” “Penny Lane” and “Strawberry Fields Forever,” plus sing-alongs like “Yellow Submarine” and “Hey Jude.”

These concerts will take place on the library's back lawn. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs. Overflow parking is available in the field across from the library’s parking lot.

No registration required. In case of inclement weather, concerts will take place in the library’s Meeting Room on a first-come, first-serve basis.
