Tewksbury Man Wanted After Fleeing North Reading Police

Troy Nestor, 35, of Tewksbury, refused to stop for North Reading Police Tuesday morning.

NORTH READING, MA -- Police obtained an arrest warrant for Troy Nestor, 35, of Tewksbury charging him with failure to stop for police, assault with a dangerous weapon, operating to endanger and other motor vehicle charges after he allegedly failed to stop for police Tuesday. North Reading Police say they attempted to stop Nestor at 10:15 on Winter Street for defective equipment, but Nestor fled in the white Chrysler Pacifica he was driving.

The North Reading police officer briefly pursued Nestor but abandoned the chase at the Andover town line for safety reasons. In addition to the North Reading charges, Nestor is wanted on a warrant for breaking and entering, larceny and vandalism out of Ayer District Court and larceny out of Chelsea District Court.
