Tewksbury Police Arrest Man For Flipping Out, Flipping Pool Table

Justin Denorscia, 21, of Wilmington, seriously injured a woman at Mavericks Bar & Grille in Tewksbury Friday night.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Tewksbury Police arrested a 21-year-old Wilmington man with a lengthy arrest record after responding to a disturbance at Mavericks Bar & Grille Friday night. Justin Denorscia, 21, of Wilmington, was charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, vandalizing property and disorderly conduct after he allegedly flipped a pool table and broke both of a woman's legs.

Deputy Tewksbury Police Chief John Votto said Denorscia had been previously told to not come back to the barn by Mavericks' management. On Friday he became angry when he was asked to leave. While he initially fled after injuring the woman, he was arrested a short time later by Tewksbury Police, Votto said.

Denorscia was arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court. It's not the first time he's been in alcohol-related trouble. Among his previous arrests:

  • In April, he was issued a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle by Wilmington Police.
  • In February 2017, Wilmington Police issued summons to Denorscia and three juveniles for possession of liquor under the age of 21.
  • In November 201, New Hampshire State Police arrested Denorscia for carrying or selling weapons, possession of a controlled drug (marijuana) and reckless operation after pulling him over on Interstate 93 in Concord.
