Tewksbury Police Arrest Man With Lengthy Criminal Record
Robert Gorski, 26, was a suspect in several recent car break-ins in the neighborhood near his Baystate Road home.

TEWKSBURY, MA --Tewksbury Police arrested a man with a lengthy rap sheet who is believed to have committed several recent car break-ins near his home. Police arrested Robert Gorski, 26, of 85 Baystate Road Wednesday after seeing him his residence as a passenger in a black, 2016 Ford Escape. Detectives from the department were conducting surveillance on the location and had arrest and search warrants in hand when they pulled the vehicle over on Glenn Road, according to Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan.
After Gorski was arrested police executed the search warrant and recovered several items that had been reported stolen from the break-ins, Sheehan said. Wilmington Police were called as back up, according to the Wilmington Police log. Gorski was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning on one charge of receiving stolen property (subsequent offense) in Lowell District Court.
Grski is no stranger to Tewksbury Police. His criminal record is more than 15 pages long, dating back to his first arrest when he was 17.

In June, 2011, Gorski escaped from police custody wearing only boxer shorts after being arrested on multiple warrants. Gorski had intentionally plugged up the toilet in his cell and was able to escape by pushing down a police officer who was transferring him to another cell. Tewksbury Police recaptured Gorski about 30 minutes after his escape.
In 2012, Sudbury Police arrested Gorski on a Tewksbury warrant for breaking and entering of a building in the night time for a felony, receiving stolen property, destruction of property and conspiracy.

In May 2015, Gorski was arrested for breaking into the Route 38 Cafe and punching the owner when he was confronted. Gorski was arrested two days later after leading Tewksbury Police on a short chase and trying to hide in a swamp after abandoning the Jeep he was driving.
At the time of his arrest, Gorski was out on bail for a separate drug case. He had failed to check into a drug treatment program, which was a condition of his bail.
