Tewksbury Police Arrest Two Following Drug Investigation
The two men, of Lowell and New Hampshire, were arrested Sunday and arraigned Tuesday.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury police made two arrests Monday following a drug investigation, they said Wednesday. Detectives with the department were conducting surveillance on Andover Street when they saw a drug sale at the Circle K Gas Station, police said. Jefry Oviedo-Matos, 30, of Lowell and Greig Shockley, 51, of Nashua, N.H. were arrested, after police found cocaine, according to the release.
Oviedo-Matos was charged with distribution of a class B substance, while Shockley was charged with possession of a class B substance, according to the release.
Both were arraigned at Lowell District Court on Wednesday. Oviedo-Matos was held on $5,000 cash bail. His next court date is Feb. 21. Shockley was released on personal recognizance. He is due back in court of March 16.
