TEWKSBURY, MA — The Tewksbury Police Department will be conducting compliance checks at all liquor stores as it pertains to underage drinking and the sale of alcohol to minors.

The department is launching this initiative to prevent any tragedies that may occur due to underage drinking, especially as prom and graduation season approaches.

"Your cooperation to combat underage drinking could save a life,” said Tewksbury police in a statement. "Any loss of life or injury from underage drinking is one too many.”
