Tewksbury Police Seize 3.75 Pounds Of Marijuana In Drug Busts

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Police seized nearly four pounds of marijuana and made three arrests in related investigations on Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, Tewksbury Police arrested Edgar Acosta, 30, of 4201 Archstone Ave, Tewksbury, and Jose Suero, 32, of 21 Mill Rd, Chelmsford. Both were charged with possession with the intent to distribute a class d substance (marijuana), subsequent offense, possession of class b substance (cocaine), and conspiracy to violate the drug laws. Suero was also charged with marked lanes violation.

During a motor vehicle stop, a small amount of crack cocaine was located along with 2 pounds of marijuana and $3100 dollars in cash. Tewksbury Police called in the Wakefield Police K-9 unit to assist in the search. Acosta and Suero were arraigned at Lowell District Court on Monday and released on $2,500 bail.

On Monday, the investigation continued and Tewksbury Police executed a search warrant 4201 Archstone Avenue. There, they recovered 1.75 pounds of marijuana and $17,542 dollars in cash. Acosta was arrested possession with the intent to distribute a class d substance (marijuana), subsequent offense. Police also arrested Ingrid Acevedo, 24, of 4201 Archstone Ave, Tewksbury, for possession with the intent to distribute a class d substance (marijuana).

Acosta and Acevedo were arraigned at Lowell District Court on Tuesday and released on personal recognizance.
