Tewksbury Police Set To Mark National Night Out

The Tewksbury Police Department will host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7th.

TEWKSBURY, MA - From the Tewksbury Police Department: Mark your calendar for Tuesday, August 7th to join the Tewksbury Police Department as they join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 34th Annual National Night Out. National Night Out (NNO) is an annual event promoting crime prevention and drug prevention in communities across the country. NNO enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

The event’s recurring theme is: “Give neighborhood crime and drugs a going away party”. Come on over to Tewksbury Memorial High School for the FREE family fun night starting at 4:30 PM with a classic car show, free cookout, games and fun. Rock out with Jumpin Juba as our community partners share great information and lots of giveaways, rain or shine (we’ll have a free movie indoors if it rains).

This no cost family night is made possible through the generous support of Lowell Five, Salem Five, Enterprise Bank, Restaurant Depot, Upper Merrimack Valley Reserve Corps, RTN Credit Union, Tewksbury Public Library, Tewksbury Senior Center, Tewksbury School Department, Tewksbury Board of Health, Community Teamwork, Boston Children’s Hospital, WellPet, Tewksbury Department of Public Works, Tewksbury Credit Union, Into Action Recovery, Dance Expressions, Boutiette’s Auto Body, and Big Top Party Rentals.

National Night Out is organized by the National Association of Town Watch and will involve over 16,124 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases around the world. In all, over 37.8 million people are expected to participate in “America’s Night Out Against Crime” this year.
