Tewksbury Public Library Has Packed Schedule Of Upcoming Events
A support group for job hunters and a chance to meet "The Paranormal Rock Star" highlight the events schedule at the Tewksbury Library.

TEWKSBURY, MA --The Tewksbury Public Library has a packed schedule of events this month, including chances to meditate, meet authors hear live music. Among the highlights from this months offerings:
Tewksbury Job Seekers: Not Your Usual Productivity with Mark Jenkins
Monday, September 18, 2pm
Learn some helpful tips when dealing with Windows 10 and Office 365 that can help you in your personal and professional lives. Know what to do before talking to a support person (or that person in your family or at your job who fixes everyone's computers). Learn how to make a support call easier and faster for both parties. Attendees can bring their own laptops (with Windows 7 or Windows 10) if they prefer. Led by Mark Jenkins, a contract instructional designer, trainer and multimedia developer at Info Rivers.
Fall Health Series: Meditation Class with Amy Martin
Monday, September 18, 6pm
Amy Martin, a yoga instructor for the Tewksbury Community Services Adult Education program, will lead this free class, which will include several types of meditation and a brief description of chakras. Wear comfortable clothing and get ready to relax! Amy Martin is an experienced yoga teacher, and earned a 200-hour certification in Hatha Yoga from Robin's Yoga and Healing Center. She is certified to teach yoga for seniors and children, as well as chakra and restorative yoga. Amy particularly loves teaching beginners. She makes sure to lead the class through a much-loved progressive meditation for deep relaxation. Limited to 75 seats.

Fall Author Series: Smart Women Love Money – 5 Simple, Life-Changing Rules of Investing

Fall Concert Series: Albino Mbie

Enjoy a 60-minute concert with jazz guitarist and vocalist Albino Mbie. Mbie is an award-winning musician and Berklee College of Music Alumni from Mozambique. His music is a unique blend of Afro-pop and Afro-Jazz and traditional Mozambican music involving native languages, dance, music and culture topped with global musical influences. Mbie was nominated as one of the best upcoming African artist in France and by RFI (Radio France international). Coffee and munchkins will be served. Limited to 75 seats.

Fall Paranormal Series: An Evening with 'The Paranormal Rockstar' Dustin Pari

Internationally renowned paranormal investigator Dustin Pari will deliver his popular presentation, “Documenting the Dead.” Complete with fascinating stories and overwhelming evidence, enjoy an honest and respectful retrospective piece on contacting the other side. Pari will explore the earliest spirit communication techniques, then share some of his own modern-day paranormal research. Filled with anecdotal tales from his own travels, and evidence from his many investigations, this lecture is the perfect mix of educational, fun and creepy. Pari is well known for his paranormal investigative work on several TV shows, including "Ghost Hunters," "Ghost Hunters International," and "Destination Truth." Pari is co-author of The Complete Approach: The Scientific and Metaphysical Guide To The Paranormal and My Home Is Haunted... Now What?. Limited to 75 seats.
Fall Film Series: Wonder Woman

Enjoy a screening of one of Hollywood's newest DVD releases -- Wonder Woman, an action adventure starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and Robin Wright. When a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world, Diana, an Amazonian warrior in training, leaves home to fight a war, discovering her full powers and true destiny. Rated PG-13. 141 minutes. 92% positive critics rating. Doors will open at 6:30pm. Pizza and water will be served from 6:30pm to 7pm. A $2 donation is suggested. Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library and Tewksbury Lions Club. Can’t make it at 7pm? The film will also be screened earlier in the day at 12:30pm. Limited to 75 seats.
Fall Author Series: Storied Bars Of New York

Author Delia Cabe will discuss her new book, Storied Bars Of New York: Where Literary Luminaries Go To Drink. Explore the fabled past and vibrant present of New York's literary bar scene. Want to know what it's like to pull up a stool with the likes of Hemingway, Updike, or Capote? Well-read drinkers and boozy bookworms will enjoy this photographic and historical celebration of the best literary pubs, cocktail bars, and taverns of New York City. Also learn the recipes for each establishment's signature cocktail, as well as which authors were likely to order it! Delia Cabe currently teaches magazine and column writing at Emerson College. Q&A and book selling and signing after the event for those interested. Limited to 75 seats.
