Tewksbury Public Schools Parent Advisory Committees to Hold Annual 'Stuff the Bus' Event

The event collects new school supplies for students in need in Tewksbury. Here's how to help.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Parent Advisory Committees from the Tewksbury Public Schools will be hosting its second annual "Stuff the Bus" event on Aug. 24.

The event is dedicated to helping the hundreds of Tewksbury students who start the year without necessary school supplies. Donations of school supplies or monetary contributions will be welcomed.

In particular, students are in need of the following items:

  • new backpacks
  • pencils
  • colored pencils
  • crayons (16 or 24 count)
  • erasers (pencil top or regular)
  • red or blue pens
  • folders ( red, yellow, blue, green or something fun)
  • spiral notebooks
  • binders (1-2")
  • scientific calculators
  • glue sticks
  • scissors (small)
  • markers
  • Expo dry erase markers
  • highlighters

Those interested in donating are invited to come by the Oakdale Market Basket Parking lot (1900 Main St.) on Aug. 24 from 4-7 p.m. Anyone who cannot attend the event is urged to donate supplies to the North Street School (133 North St.)

Monetary donations will help supplement any supplies not received. This is the collection event only. Checks can be made out to "North Street PAC" or "Dewing School PAC"
