Tewksbury Redmen Mites complete a successful weekend

Mites post back-to-back shutout victories.

The Tewksbury Redmen Mites Hockey Team, , capped off a great weekend of games by beating Marblehead 2-0, after nearly completing a great comeback against Arlington.

The Mites opened up their weekend schedule by falling behind Arlington 4-0
but started the comeback in the 2nd period with a goal by Brady Chapman,
assisted by Billy Doherty and Conor Cremin.Two third-period goals by Andrew Della Piana, with assists to Alex Pescatore, cut the lead to 1 goal, but last minute shots by Jake McDonough & Sean Murphy were turned away by the Arlington goalie.  The Mites received great play up front by Andrew Grieco, Timmy Sweeney, and Jack Griffin.

The Mites then took on a tough Marblehead team on Sunday. The Redmen
jumped out to an early lead on a goal by Jack Griffin, assisted by Andrew Grieco. Goalie Ben O'Keefe kept the Redmen in the game, doing his best Tim Thomas impersonation, making save after save to keep the Marblehead team off the scoreboard until Alex Pescatore added a goal in the 3rd period, assisted by Andrew Grieco, to make the score 2-0.  The Redmen defense made up of Maci Chapman, Sean Murphy, Jason Cooke, and Jade Owirka played a great game, keeping Marlblehead off the scoreboard.
