Tewksbury Reports Just 15 Positive Tests In Last Two Weeks

Just over 2 percent of Tewksbury coronavirus tests over the last two weeks have been positive.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury added 11 new coronavirus cases over the last week, according to state data released Wednesday. The town has now reported 597 confirmed cases in total, up from 586 on July 8.

The town reported 15 positive tests in the last two weeks, for a positive rate just above 2 percent, the target number for safe reopening.

The state does not report active positives at the town level and Tewksbury has not updated its case data since June 22, when there were still over 100 active positives. At least sixty-five residents have died of the virus.
