Tewksbury Residents Can Learn How To Live With Coyotes

A free presentation will highlight "the most misunderstood and remarkable animal in North America."

TEWKSBURY, MA -- If you spend any amount of time on Facebook groups for residents of almost any Boston suburb, you will find there are generally two types of people who discuss local issues on the social media platform: people who earnestly report coyote sightings in town and see them as a threat, and people who make fun of those people. In effort to replace some of the myths with facts, Tewksbury is hosting a talk for residents by Belmont Animal Control Officer John Maguranis at Tewksbury Town Hall on Feb. 7 at 6:30 pm.

According to a notice on the town's Website, the educational talk will feature facts about the animal, tips for keeping pets and people safe from coyotes and photos of what Maguranis calls "the most misunderstood and remarkable animal in North America."

The talk is being sponsored by Tewksbury Animal Control. For more information, see the notice on the Tewksbury Website.
