TEWKSBURY, MA — This Saturday, May 17, scores of Tewksbury residents will be staging a demonstration in the center of town in opposition to a plan to establish a potentially very dangerous lithium-ion battery “farm” near neighborhoods and small businesses.

This, the second in a series of demonstrations, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. adjacent to the town hall at the intersection of Main and Pleasant streets.

The demonstrators will be seeking signatures on petitions to oppose this so-called “farm” and will be providing more information about this facility that would consist of nearly 16 million pounds of lithium-ion batteries.
