Tewksbury Second Grader Cheering on Youth Football Teams Despite Medical Obstacles
Local 8-year-old was recently featured on New England Sports Network.

Tewksbury second grader Brigitte Kaiser was recently featured on the New England Sports Network.
The 8-year-old has Noonan syndrome, a genetic defect characterized by a host of symptoms including heart defects, bleeding problems, short stature and skeletal malformations, among others. Kaiser, who is also the first person in the world diagnosed with the TUBB2B gene defect, NESN reports, is cheering on all her home teams despite the obstacles she faces.
Since in her short lifetime Brigitte has spent more than 400 nights at Boston Children’s Hospital and has undergone more than 30 surgeries, she has lost a lot of time socializing with her peers, but thanks to the Tewksbury Youth Cheerleading squad, Brigitte is a member of the team.

Last fall they brought her on board and Brigitte cheers for all the town’s teams. Her mom tells NESN Brigitte is right down there on the field, knows everyone by name and they know her. Brigitte’s brother Jake plays on one of the youth football teams.
