Tewksbury Selectmen to Discuss Main Street Liquors Request in July
Main Street Liquors is seeking to expand its operating hours until 11 p.m.

TEWKSBURY, MA—Main Street Liquors has submitted a formal request to expand its Sunday operating hours, Town Manager Richard Montouri confirmed with Patch.
Main Street Liquors currently must close at 8 p.m. on Sundays, but has submitted a formal request to stay open until 11 p.m. The Selectmen have set a date of July 19 to discuss the formal request.
A manager from Main Street Liquors was not immediately available for comment.

According to a report by the Tewksbury Town Crier, the petitioner stated that they are losing significant business because nearby Lowell liquor stores are able to stay open until 11. You can read more from the Town Crier here.
