Tewksbury Special Town Meeting Will Consider Spending, By-Law Changes

Residents have until September 22 to register for the Special Town Meeting on October 3 at 7 pm.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Tewksbury officials are mailing the Special Town Meeting Warrant to all residents and will have copies available in town hall beginning next week. The meeting is scheduled for Oct. 3 at 7 pm and will be held at Tewksbury High School. The deadline for registering is Sept. 22.

The special town meeting will consider several spending bills, including funding for the 2018 fiscal year budget. Some of the more notable warrants special town meeting will consider include:

  • $50,000 to begin work on the next phase of building a bike path in town.
  • Transfer of control and care of the Ella Fleming Elementary School to the town from the school department.
  • Revising the town's noise ordinance to limit construction 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays.
