Tewksbury Students Reschedule Walkout To March 21
Students will not face disciplinary action if they participate.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Wednesday's snow day means students at many Massachusetts schools will be unable to participate in a national walkout Wednesday to protest gun violence and Congressional inaction on school shootings. Students have decided to conduct the walkout next Wednesday. The same directions previously released by the the school administration will be used for the March 21 walkout.
Participation in the event is optional. Students who do participate will not face disciplinary action. The complete messages is included in a Twitter post embedded below. The walkout begins at 10 am, when students will gather in the school's gymnasium.
The Florida shooting was the seventh of 13 school shootings that have left 23 people dead 43 people injured since the start of the year. The walkouts, which were initially proposed by organizers behind the Women's March, are being held to "protest Congress' inaction to do more than tweet thoughts and prayers in response to the gun violence plaguing our schools and neighborhoods."
