Tewksbury Teen Killed In Andover Crash Identified
Ryan Driscoll was 16 years old. His father issued a plea to help the family and police understand what happened.
TEWKSBURY, MA — The 16-year-old Tewksbury resident who died over the weekend from injuries sustained in a crash was an honors student at Central Catholic High School in Lawrence. Ryan Driscoll died Sunday, a day after he lost control of his sport utility vehicle on Interstate 93 north in Andover, drove off the road and rolled over into a sign post.
In a Facebook post Monday, Driscoll's father thanked rescue workers from Andover, as well as drivers who stopped to help his son. He said he hoped to meet with witnesses to get some answers to his questions about the crash and to thank those who stopped. "It’s comforting to know that Ryan was not alone in his final moments," Driscoll wrote.
Central Catholic High School plans to dedicate Monday night's lacrosse game against St. John's Prep to Driscoll and his family. The away playoff game begins at 7 p.m. in Danvers.
