Tewksbury Trick Or Treating Hours: What You Need To Know
Tewksbury Police also announce plans for their 19th annual Safe Halloween on Sunday, October 29.
TEWKSBURY, MA -- Trick or Treating in Tewksbury is scheduled for 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 31 this year. Separately, the Tewksbury Police Department will hold its 19th Annual Safe Halloween on Sunday, October 29th from 10 am to 1 pm at the Tewksbury Memorial High School at 320 Pleasant Street.
The event is sponsored by Circle Health and will feature games, face painting, safety demonstrations, raffles and an arts and crafts table. Other sponsors include the Tewksbury Fire Department, Blaire House, Allie Cat Crafts, Creative Learning Academy, Wicked Cheesy, Salem Five, Wamesit Lanes, RTN Credit Union, H&R Block, Hannaford, and Community Teamwork. There will also be an appearance by the Rowdy, the UMass-Lowell mascot.
Tewksbury Police offered the following tips for safe trick or treating this Halloween season:

- Always go trick or treating with an adult
- Only go to houses where you or your friends know the residents
- Don’t knock on doors where there is a sign saying ‘NO callers’ or there are no outside lights on
- Stay in areas that are lit with streetlights - take a flashlight with you just in case
- Stay with your friends - don’t split into smaller groups unless an adult goes with you
- Do not talk to strangers on the street
- Don’t enter any house, stay on the doorstep
- Always look carefully before crossing the road, even if you are part of a group
- Be visible
