Tewksbury Updates Residents On Winter Storm
The town provided updates on trash collection and closures as winter weather impacted the region Monday.
TEWKSBURY, MA — The town is providing residents on updates as a blizzard slammed the region with wind and snow Monday.
Town Hall and the library were closed Monday due to the storm. Tewksbury Public Schools were also canceled Monday.
Trash collection will also be delayed one day this week, with collection resuming Thursday, according to the town.

"Please stay off the roads and keep parked cars off the streets tonight and tomorrow to help with snow clearing operations and stay safe!" the town wrote on Facebook.

"We are asking residents to please stay off the roads unless it’s absolutely necessary.
"We’re in the middle of a strong nor’easter with heavy snow, poor visibility, and strong winds. Roads across town are messy and dangerous, and crews need room to clear them safely.
"If you can, stay home, stay warm, and give our DPW and first responders space to work. We’ll share updates as conditions improve."
