Tewksbury's Bravest: 10-Year-Old Girl Making Impact

Brigitte Kaiser has had more than 30 surgeries in her young life, with another one scheduled soon. And she's absolutely awesome.

Some of Tewksbury's Finest have quite the relationship with one of Tewksbury's Bravest.

Brigitte Kaiser, a 10-year-old girl who has underwent more than 30 surgeries due a rare disorder, got a visit from some Tewksbury officers at a party a couple of weekends ago. The officers wished her well at an upcoming surgery.

So Brigitte decided to repay the favor by dropping off some (delicious-looking) cookies at the police department on Friday.

Brigitte has Noonan Syndrome, which affects her heart and prevents normal development in her body, police said. She is scheduled to have open heart surgery soon to replace a valve.

Brigitte is a big "Cops" fan on TV, so she particularly appreciated it when the officers drove up to her house during a party she was having with friend, lights flashing and sirens wailing. Brigitte and her friends checked out cars and chatted up some officers.

"The members of the Tewksbury Police Department admire Brigitte's courage and wish her the best of luck with her surgery and a very speedy recovery," the department said.
