TEWKSBURY, MA — The Tewksbury Police Department will be deploying its Ice Cream Unit today, serving free ice cream to celebrate the first day of summer and the last day of school.
The Ice Cream Unit is a product of the police and fire departments, the library and the parent advisory committees working together to bring some "free family fun" to Tewksbury, according to a flyer.
The festivities will start at Livingston Street Park between 12:30 and 2:15 p.m., with a visit from Officer Waffles and Doctor Brownie, the police department's comfort dogs.
