Tewksbury's Open Space Visioning Session is Thursday
What changes would you like to see to the town's open land?

Tewksbury’s Open Space Visioning Session is Thursday, January 26th at the Tewksbury Memorial High School cafeteria at 6:30pm. Swing by and give your input on our open space lands. Look at maps and pick out which spaces you’d use for passive and active recreation. Do you like to walk? Do you want to know where to snowshoe? How about the best place on the Shawsheen to put in your kayak?
The meeting will focus on water resources, scenic locations, historical properties as well as discuss protections and the needs of our ever-changing community. As part of a seven- year action plan, the Open Space and Recreation Committee is tasked with updating Tewksbury’s land inventory and usage vision while compiling open space and recreation goals based on feedback from residents. This session is a chance to have input into the use of lands and shape how Tewksbury will implement projects to best meet its open space needs going forward.

The session will last approximately ninety minutes, but residents are welcomed to arrive at any time. We’d like to brainstorm and discuss strengths and weaknesses in the town, find opportunities to expand open space parcels and create protections for others, and learn from people how they’d like to see our “green infrastructure” used.
If you cannot attend but would like to fill out the survey, go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TewksburyOpenSpace or call Kyle Boyd, Town Planner at 978-640-4370. Email OSRC@tewksbury-ma.gov Bring a friend.
