Thieves Take Advantage Of Snow, Power Outages In Tewksbury
There have been a rash of thefts and break-ins throughout Tewksbury, with thieves taking advantage of the recent bad weather.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- There have been a recent reports of robberies in Tewksbury, and it appears the crook or crooks didn't even let the snow get in their way. On a closed Tewksbury Facebook group Tuesday morning a woman reported that the garage of her Anthony Road home and her husband's work van had been broken into sometime between 11:30 last night and 6 am this morning. In another post, a woman reported that her neighbors snow blower had been stolen from Shawsheen Street near Ballard Street.
Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan said the snowblower had been recovered and the scene was being investigated. The break-in on Shawsheen is also being investigated.
"As this is a fluid investigation, these are the details we have to this point. A police K-9 Unit was deployed a little earlier and our officers are still in that area," Sheehan said Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, several residents of the Indian Ridge condominium complex said they had received a letter from the condo association saying that two units had been broken into during last week's power outage. At the Archstone complex, rims were stolen off of cars last week.
