Led by Bob Gaughan, licensed Insurance Agent/Broker, who regularly speaks to networking groups in hopes of educating job seekers on their healthcare options. Gaughan is a broker for all of the health insurance carriers in Massachusetts -- Blue Cross/Blue Shield, BMC HealthNet, Fallon Community Health Plan, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Health New England, Neighborhood Health Plan, and Tufts Health Direct & Tufts Health Plan. Fright Night: Boston’s History of Seances, Mediums & Immortality

Author Dee Morris ("Boston in the Golden Age of Spiritualism: Séances, Mediums & Immortality") will explore the complex history of Boston's spiritualist movement. Dee will detail how numerous clairvoyants claimed to bring messages from beyond the grave at seances and public meetings. Others chose to take advantage of and scam naive Bostonians, which created a backlash led - in part - by world-renowned magician Harry Houdini. Dee is an independent scholar and educational consultant specializing in nineteenth-century history of Greater Boston. Q&A and book selling/signing to follow. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Tiny Tykes Story Time

Monday, November 19, 10:15am AND 11am

For young children ages 0 to 18 months. Older siblings are always welcome to join in! Join us for a fun session of stories, songs, fingerplays, instruments, and gentle movement that help build early literacy skills. Please note, we have 2 sessions that are the same, one is at 10:15am and the other is at 11:00am. There is no registration, HOWEVER, there is limited space in the room. Please check in at the Children's desk upon arrival to check to see if there is still room available in the session.
