Threatening Emails But 'No Credible Threat' At Shawsheen Tech

BILLERICA, MA — Shawsheen Valley Technical High School students received threatening emails Wednesday, but police and the school determined there was no credible threat to the school, according to a statement posted on the school's social media and website. The statement reads:

To the Shawsheen Valley Technical HS Community: This morning, we were made aware of emails that were sent to a significant number of Shawsheen students. These emails contained potential threats to the school. In coordination with the Billerica Police Department, we have determined that there is no credible threat. All precautions have been taken. Thank you to the many students who came forward with this information.

Shawsheen Tech is a public high school located in Billerica and serving students from Burlington, Wilmington, Bedford, Tewksbury and Billerica.
