Titan Tee Ball/Baseball Program, sponsored by Friends Of Special Ed Kidz(FOSEK) wrapped up its first season on a high note.
Players had spent every Sunday of the 8 week program learning the fundamentals of hitting, catching and throwing with the help of a group of volunteers without whose time the program would not have been as successful as it is.
Bob Gill, Program Director, reported that seeing the players have fun and socialize in such a positive environment makes the program that much more worthwhile. Bob was instrumental in setting up the 5 week pilot program last October and made it evident that the program would be well received by the community. Along with Bob's family, wife Lisa, son Joshua, and daughter Sam, as well as Jim Duffy and his son Kyle, the program caught on remarkably.
This season ending was celebrated with a hot dog lunch with popcorn, beverages, a special cake with team picture on it, face painting, a parent and player game, and a special visit from the Canaligator straight from the Spinners! He joined in the game and all the players got pictures with him/her. That was the hit of the day!
Everyone enjoyed the entire celebration and a special thanks goes out to all of the volunteers for their work with the players throughout the season, as well as the parents, grandparents and friends without whose support the success level of the program would excel to where it is.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDZ!
