Keeper Rebecca Davies, just a sophomore, continues to dazzle in the early season for the Tewksbury girls soccer team.

Davies, turned aside 11 shots to record her third shutout of the season in a 0-0 tie on the road against conference rival Haverhill.

Senior sweeper Lizzie Marchand and senior stopper Heather Carroll played outstanding defensive games against the Hillies in support of Davies. Freshman fullback Meghan Blaisdell, making her first career start, also played well.

Shawsheen took it on the chin in a 3-0 loss to Malden. But one highlight for the Rams was the play of keeper Rob Goodell, who made 15 saves in the loss. Nico Riparo, Brian Gallgher, Ryan Warner and Sean Plunkett played well in defeat for Shawsheen, which dropped to 0-3-1 on the season.
