Trahan Students, Staff to Participate in Mock Election
Students at the Tewksbury school will be putting their knowledge of the election process to the test, and voting in a National mock election

TEWKSBURY, MA — Students and staff at the Louis Davy Trahan Elementary School will be participating in the National Student/Parent Mock Election Wednesday, according to a school announcement.
Students will be putting their education of the election process and the major candidates to the test and voting in the mock election. Students have been learning about topics such as the basics of our major parties, history of previous elections and presidents, requirements to be president, background information on the major candidates, and the Electoral College process.
“We are using this as an opportunity to discuss the process of an election and learn how to respect other people’s opinions,” said Grade 4 teacher Jennifer Cote in a statement.
