Tribute to Mico Kaufman at Tewksbury Public Library
Original artwork created by the world-class artist on display, along with new pieces inspired by his work.

The Tewksbury Community of Artists will pay tribute to Mico Kaufman during the month of January at the Tewksbury Public Library. Kaufman, a world renown sculptor and medalist, lived in Tewksbury most of his life and died Dec. 12, 2016. He was creating art up into his late 80s. His last accomplishment was his life story, a book titled "A Chiseler's True Story", which is available at the Tewksbury Public Library. His sculptures grace Route 38 in Tewksbury and there are 7 of his sculptures throughout Lowell.
The display at the Tewksbury Public Library will feature many pieces of Mico's original artwork, alongside new art inspired by Kaufman's work to pay homage. An artists' reception will be held at the library, in the Fairgrieve Wing, on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM. The public is warmly invited to attend the reception to view the artwork and speak with some of the artists in attendance. This month's theme, Tribute to Mico Kaufman, will be on display from January 13 - February 6, 2018.
