Trio Nabbed Breaking Into Abandoned Home
The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
The home at 283 Pleasant St. may be vacant but the neighbors are still keeping a watchful eye.
On Sept. 14, from a resident reporting that an older model white pickup truck was in the driveway at 283 Pleasant St. and that three people looked like they were emptying items out of the home, which was believed to be abandoned.
Officers responded to the scene and stopped the pickup at the corner of Pleasant and Helvetia. After an investigation, the three occupants of the truck were arrested.

Laura A. Riddle, 39, 700 North St., Tewksbury, was charged with breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, larceny over $250, larceny from a building, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools.
Shane Morin, 41, 76 North St., Andover, was charged with operating a motor vehicle after his license had been revoked, breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, larceny over $250, larceny from a building, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools.

Juan A. Santiago, 28, 91 Broadway St., Apt. 36, Methuen, was charged with breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, larceny over $250, larceny from a building, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools.
Additional arrests:
- William R. Capello, 53, 10 Pearl St., was arrested on Sept. 14 and charged with asault and intimidation of a witness.
Additional incidents
- On Thursday, Sept. 15, a maintenance worker reported a break in at the recreation building at the Lodge at Ames Pond on Ames Pond Drive.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 14, a resident at 105 Brown St. reported that his garage had been broken into. He reported that a leaf blower, a battery jump box and a portable air tank were stolen.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 5:39 p.m., a three-car accident was reported at the intersection of Livingston and East Streets. Only minor injuries were reported with no one taken to the hospital.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m., a two-car accident was reported at the intersection of South and Salem Streets. Only minor injuries were reported with no one taken to the hospital.
