The 8th grade Wamesit Warriors from Tewksbury ran their record to 17-0, beating Peabody, 59-43. Shayne Russell led the scoring with 15 points including two 3-pt baskets, followed by Joe Csokmay with 13.
Russell also added 3 steals, and Csokmay 8 rebounds. Chris Caron and Craig Harkins each connected on two 3-pt. field-goals to take the pressure off of their front-court teammates, who were receiving double-coverage inside. Alex DiRocco added 5 points, 3 assists, and a steal, Derek McGaffigan scored 2 points, and penetrated the Peabody defense, distributing the ball for easy layups.

James Sullivan scored 6 points, Mike Milano contributed 4 points with 2 assists, and along with Ryan Bednarek, were tireless on defense. Alex Botazzi scored 3 points, and led the team in rebounding.

Georgetown 26
The 8th grade Wamesit Warriors from Tewksbury improved to 18-0, beating Georgetown 63-26. Joe Csokmay scored 11 points with 7 rebounds, and Alex DiRocco 11 points to go along with 2 assists and 2 steals.
Mike Milano 8 points and 2 steals, Derek Mcgaffigan 8 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals, and Alex Botazzi 8 points with 6 rebounds. James Sullivan chipped in with a basket and outstanding defensive and rebounding effort, Craig Harkins cored a basket and added a steal, Ryan Bednarek 4 points and a steal, Chris Caron 4 points, and Shayne Russell 6 points, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.
Warriors 64
Beverly 30
The 8th grade Wamesit Warriors from Tewksbury are 19-0, winning by a score of 64-30 over Beverly. Craig Harkins continued his hot shooting from outside with two 3-pt. baskets, and Ryan Bednarek scored 11 points, including tow 3-pt. shots.
Alex DiRocco led the Warriors in scoring with 20 points, Joe Csokmay added 11 points and was a force inside. Chris Caron scored 4 points, James Sullivan 2 points, Alex Botazzi 4 points, Derek McGaffigan 8 points, and provided steady leadership from the point guard position. Shyane Russell’s defense was instrumental in the Warriors jumping out to an early lead before he left the game in the first half with an injury.
