What's Open, Closed On New Year's Day In Tewksbury

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Tuesday is New Year's Day and Tewksbury Town offices will be closed all day. Trash will be picked up on Thursday instead of Wednesday following New Year's. Jan. 3 is a red recycling day.

• Post Office: Closed
• Restaurants: Open at owner's discretion
• Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
• Supermarkets: Open at owner's discretion
• Liquor stores: Open
• Banks: Closed
• Gas stations: Open
• Movie theaters: Open

The MBTA will be running an altered schedule on New Year's Eve and on a Sunday schedule on New Year's Day.
