Wilmington Man Arrested For Robbing Pizzeria Where He Worked

James Pierce is facing unarmed robbery charges after forcing the owner of Villa Roma Pizza in Tewksbury to the ground.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Police on Sunday responded to a call at Villa Roma Pizza in Tewksbury, where they learned that James Pierce, 40, of Wilmington, forcibly took money from the restaurant's owner. Police say Pierce allegedly forced the owner to the ground after an argument. The owner sustained minor injuries in the altercation.

Pierce was arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court.
