Wilmington Man's Carjacking Attempt In Tewksbury Goes Awry: PD
The 21-year-old used a pellet gun that looked like a firearm to try to force a man from his vehicle at a Main Street 7-Eleven, police said.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A 21-year-old Wilmington man was arrested Sunday night after what police said was an attempt to carjack a man with a pellet gun at 7-Eleven.
Jacob Strow, 21, of Allston Ave. was charged with armed carjacking, armed assault with intent to rob aperson over 60 years of age, assault and battery on a person over 60 years of age and attempt to commit a crime, to wit: armed robbery while being masked.
Officers responded to the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Main Street shortly after 10 p.m. for a report of a robbery. Police said a man in his 60s was sitting in his vehicle when Strow approached him, pointed a gun at him, and attempted to rob him and steal the vehicle.

The victim tussled with Strow, who ran off when a passerby stopped to help the victim.
Tewksbury and Wilmington Police found Strow a short distance away. Officers recovered a pellet handgun that looked like a firearm.

Strow was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Lowell District Court.
