Wilmington Victim In Tewksbury ATV Crash Identified

Atley Miller was wearing a helmet when he lost control of an ATV he was operating in Tewksbury Sunday morning.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- The 15-year-old Shawsheen Technical High School student who was killed in a Tewksbury ATV crash was identified as Atley Miller, of Wilmington. Miller, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Middlesex District Attorney's office did not release the name of the victim. But The Lowell Sun confirmed that the victim was Miller, who was a sophomore at Shawsheen Tech. Students at the school took to social media Sunday night to post condolences to Miller's family.

Police and fire personnel responded to the crash, which was on private property located on South Street in Tewksbury at 11:12 am Sunday. In a statement, the Middlesex District Attorney's office said no foul play is suspected in the boy's death. A preliminary investigation concluded that the boy was the sole operator and rider on the ATV at the time of the accident.
